If you want to know what iSedora Media Server can do for you, the answer is quite simple: it gives you the possibility of playing your music and videos anywhere in your house, on various devices, over a local network. This means that the songs and movies from your computer can be played on a mobile device, on a TV and on other devices, if they are DLNA-compliant.

The software is available for Windows and Mac and it works even on older machines, due to its modest hardware requirements. Downloading and installing iSedora Media Server is a fairly simple task and it should not take more than a minute to complete it.

iSedora Media Server comes with a tabbed user interface, on which you can view a list of connected devices, make various settings to your server and inspect media files. Simply running the program and letting it work in the background is sufficient, but you can make a wide range of tweaks, to make the server work according to your personal needs.

The Preferences tab allows you to make the most important settings. You can do anything, from basic settings, like naming your server and selecting an icon, to advanced configurations, like changing the server's port, enabling log subsystems and more.

The program comes with many advantages. A high performance live transcoding engine, deinterlace video filter, gigapixel image streaming capabilities and the software's support for RAW camera formats are just a few examples. While your server is running on a computer, you will be able to play the media files on your TV, mobile phone or tablet and on other devices with DLNA support.

Pros

Starting the server is very easy. iSedora Media Server program provides a wide range of configuration options. The program is lightweight and it can be installed in under a minute.

Cons

There are no obvious issues to mention. With iSedora Media Server running on your computer, you will be able to play your media files on all sorts of devices, anywhere in your house.
